Judy Steinkuehler, age 68, of Lake View, IA, formerly of Glenwood, IA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View. Judy Marie Newhouse was born on January 4, 1949, to mother Pearl K. (McCrickard) Miller in Missouri Valley, IA. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. Judy grew up in the Missouri Valley area and attended school at St. Patrick’s Catholic School. She was blessed with 6 children: Eugene, Angela, Amanda, Andrea, Artema, and Kali.
   Judy was a hard worker and was employed as a retail manager for most of her life. On December 27, 1986, she married Daryle Steinkuehler in Logan, IA. Judy and Daryle moved to Lake View in 2016. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Crossword puzzles, playing games, reading, watching cooking shows and the Hallmark Channel were among some of Judy’s favorite things to do. She loved this time of year…Christmas was by far her favorite holiday, she loved decorating for it. Judy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
   Left to cherish her memory are her husband Daryle; children: Eugene (Theresa) Spencer of Eagle Grove, IA, Angela (Jay) Hopkins of Bremerton, WA, Amanda (Mark) Umphrey of LaRue, OH, Andrea (Hodges) Dollen of Omaha, NE, Artema (Darren) Gray of Silver City, IA, and Kali (Scott) Stone of Sac City, IA; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many extended family members and friends.
   Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl; brother Lloyd “Bubby” Newhouse; sisters: Pauline Skelton, Dorothy Schroder, and Joyce Hawes.

   A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
