Kenneth Bromley

Kenneth Morton Bromley was born in Lake View, IA, on November 28, 1937, to his loving parents, John Sherman and Verla Irene (Eaton) Bromley. He was the first son in a family of five children. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lakes United Methodist Church in Lake View where he remained a lifetime member. Kenneth attended school in Lake View and graduated with the class of 1955.

On January 22, 1956, Kenneth was united in marriage to Judith Frisbie at the Presbyterian Church in Sac City. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage along with their children: Kimble (Gretchen) Bromley of Pelican Rapids, MN, Kevin (Michelle) Bromley of Marshalltown, IA, and Julia (Nadi Tabaku) Burmeister of Lake View, IA.

Kenneth worked hard to provide for his family. He worked at various jobs including: Wetzstein Tile Plant, Omar Bread Company, People’s IGA, Midstate’s Equipment, Ken’s Place, Hallett’s Construction, Bromley’s Foodland, Fareway, Interlott Company, and detailed cars at home. No matter what he was doing, he always made time for his family and cherished his grandchildren. Kenneth had a love for riding motorcycle's all his life. He was a Volunteer Fireman in Lake View, member of the Mason’s, and served as a trustee at church.

Survivors include his wife Judy; his three children; seven grandchildren: Sarah Bromley, Emily Bromley, Lindsay (Tom) Cunningham, Steven Bromley, Matthew Bromley, Luke Burmeister and Logan Burmeister. Other survivors include his brother Jeff (Connie) Bromley of Peterson, IA; sister Marsha (Larry) Dowdell of Triadelphia, WV; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
