Marjorie Elizabeth Freese, age 87, of Lake View, IA, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Loring Hospital in Sac City, IA.
Marge was born on June 14, 1926, to Paul James and Gladys Mae (Shepard) Spike in Pulteney, NY. On September 12, 1962, she married Marion Francis Dumkrieger in Unionville, MO. He passed away on April 23, 1995. Marge found love again and married Marvin John Freese on May 24, 1996 at the Methodist Church in What Cheer, IA by Rev. Vince Homan. They made their home in Lake View. Marvin passed away March 21, 2005.
Marge was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake View and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lake View. She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Vicki Jo (Bobby) Churchman of Thornton, CO; step-sons: Terry (Gwendolyn) Freese of Brighton, CO, and Thomas (Debbie) Freese of Chesapeake, VA; nine step-grandchildren; thirteen step great-grandchildren; and extended family members.
