Peggy Lea Behrens, age 65, of Lake View, IA, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, as a result of a tragic car accident. Peggy was born August 30, 1951, in Harlan, IA, the daughter of Orvis and Florence (Larsen) Behrens. Peggy graduated from Harlan High School and went on to work as an Analyst for the United States Navy, retiring in 2006.

   On August 23, 1984, Peggy was united in marriage to William H. Fewell in Harlan, IA. She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling and taking trips to the beach. Peggy was a member of the Lake View/Sac City Friendship Club and took part in many trips with them. Peggy loved to bake. Her and Billy enjoyed hosting holiday dinner parties in their home for their elderly neighbors. Peggy always found time to help her neighbors when needed and kept herself busy making quilts and afghans for the retirement home in town.

   Left to cherish her memory are her step-children: William and Kandi Fewell of VA, Kimberly Fawley of VA, Katherine Sines of VA; step-grandchildren: Brandan Sines of VA, Jessica and Joshua Rodriguez of NE, Lindsey and Lauren Fawley of VA, Kevin Fewell of TX, and Amber Collis of VA; step-great grandchild Eileen Rodriguez of NE; brother Lyle Behrens of IA; sister Betty Jacobs of NE; brother-in-law: Bobby (Alice) Fewell of VA; and many extended family members and friends.
  Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Orvis and Florence Behrens; parents-in-law Benjamin Fewell & Eva Griffor; brothers Richard Behrens, Keith Behrens, and David Behrens.

In Lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations sent to the Sac Community Center.  Both Peggy and Billy enjoyed and were very passionate about the senior aquatic program.  All donations will be used for upgraded equiptment for the senior program which they were apart of for more than 10 years.
