Deloris "Dee" Ann Drilling

Deloris “Dee” Ann Drilling, age 74, of Lake View, IA, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at her home in Lake View.

Dee was born on May 19, 1940, in Denison, IA to Paul and Edna (Schneller) Frazier. She graduated from Sac City High School and Stewart College of Cosmetology in Omaha, NE. She was baptized at St. Peter’s & Paul Catholic Church in Omaha, NE and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wall Lake.

On April 5, 1957, Dee was united in marriage to Robert Drilling at St. Peter’s & Paul Catholic Church in Omaha. They lived for many years in Omaha where Dee worked as a secretary at Boy’s Town. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother always caring for her family and providing a comfortable and happy home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her other interests included classic cars, working on puzzles, card playing, reading and collecting anything Norman Rockwell. Dee was a hospice volunteer, past president of the T-Bird Club and newsletter editor of For-Mer-Linc Club.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Dale Drilling of Lake View; son Dale Drilling of Omaha, NE; two grandchildren: Erin Marie and Kylie Ann Drilling of Omaha, NE; her sisters: Paula (Jim) Kirby of Missouri Valley, IA, Joyce Leckband of Sutherland, IA, and Liz Kotfer of Muenster, IA; her brothers: Larry Frazier of Cherokee, IA and Billy (Kathy) Frazier of Burnside, IA; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
