             Lori Michelle Bettin daughter of Charles and Linda (Myers) Bettin was born July 25, 1971 in Sac City, Iowa.  She was baptized at Emmanuel Lutheran, Lake View, on August 15, 1971.  Lori renewed that baptismal vow through the rite of confirmation at Peace Lutheran Church, Wall Lake on May 5, 1985.

             Lori grew up on the farm Northwest of Lake View and attended Lake View-Auburn School graduating with the class of 1989. She continued her education at Concordia University Seward, Nebraska graduating with a degree in Music and English.  Her love for teaching was enhanced as she taught in various Iowa schools including: West Point, Graettinger, Pomeroy and Pocahontas Area Community School. While living in Minnesota she worked at Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport as part of the TSA security team.

             Lori was gifted with an awesome soprano voice which she loved to share as she sang with Cantori Choral Society in Albert Lea, and most recently the Pocahontas Community Chorus and Fort Dodge Choral Society. She continues that sharing as part of the Angelic Choir today.

             She dedicated her life to the love, care and support of her family. Her absence now will be felt by all.

             On February 14, 1992, she was united in marriage to Daniel J. Bettin at St. Paul Lutheran, Emmetsburg, Iowa.  That union was blessed with two children: April Lyn on July 25, 1992, and Michaela Irene on March 9, 1999.

             On December 2, 2016, at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, Iowa our Lord Jesus called Lori eternally home to himself. She was 45 years, 4 months, and 7 days old.

             She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lawrence and Marie Bettin and Ernest and Gail Myers; a brother Jason Lee in infancy; aunt Janet Bettin-Curb; father-in-law Michael Bettin and sister-in-law Michelle Bettin-Bren; and cousin Ramona Tassin.

             She is survived by her husband Daniel; daughters: April Lyn and Michaela Irene; parents Charles and Linda Bettin; brothers: Todd (Teresa) Bettin of Lake View and their daughters Natasha and Katelyn; and Christopher (Anna) Bettin of Kaufman TX; mother-in-law Jan (Dennis) Baseman; niece Amanda Kay Bettin; and other extended family and friends.

She had a great laugh and was lots of fun. She was very good with animals and was a great singer standing out in our choir all through school. She was very loved by her family especially her mother, they really special bond, being the two ladies in the family. ”
