     Adrience “Ada” Ina Bruns, age 87, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City.  Ada was born on November 20, 1928, in Lytton, IA, to Henry and Anna (Hecht) Ehlers.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. 

     Ada attended grade school and high school in Lytton and then continued her education in Fort Dodge, where she became a hair dresser.  On August 26, 1951, Ada was united in marriage to Walter Bruns.   They made their home on the farm in Lytton and together raised their children: Kay and Lyn.  Ada was a farm wife along with working as a hair dresser.  She also worked at Parkview in Sac City. 

   Ada enjoyed gardening, flowers, and bird watching.  She also liked to read and was an member of the Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton.  Ada enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

   Survivors include her children: Kay Pedersen of Newell, IA, and Lyn (Nancy) Bruns of Lytton, IA; grandchildren: Angie Zumwalt of Newell, IA, Melissa (Charles) Barnett of Omaha, NE, Michelle (Russell) Balo of Wall Lake, IA, and Katelyn Bruns of Omaha, NE; step-grandson Randy Pedersen of Newell, IA; sisters: Linda Baum of Sac City, IA, and Veda Landgraf of Albert City, IA; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

    Ada was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter; and brother Eldean Ehlers.
