Donna Vivian Johnson, age 76, of Sac City, IA, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at her home in Sac City. Donna was born on November 25, 1939, to Carl and Elsie Karstens in Sac County, IA. She grew up in Lake View, IA and attended grade school in Lake View and graduated in 1958. Donna was both baptized and confirmed at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View, IA.
On October 2, 1960, Donna was united in marriage to William Johnson at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View. This union was blessed with daughter, Suzanne. The family made their home in Sac City, where Donna worked as a dispatcher for Sac County for many years and later retired on December 3, 2005.
She was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sac City, IA and enjoyed bird watching, reading and gardening. She was an amazing wife, mother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband William Johnson of Sac City, IA; daughter Suzanne Johnson of Sac City, IA; and sister Jane Debolt of Anita, IA.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Elsie Karstens.
