Sharon Kay Wunschel, age 69, of Early, IA, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Newell Good Samaritan Center in Newell, IA.  Sharon was born on November 24, 1946, to John and Maxine Lenz.  She grew up in Early, IA and attended grade school at Sacred Heart and graduated from Crestland high school.    

   Sharon was blessed with five children: Steph, Chris, John, TJ and Travis.   She worked at various jobs, including Schaller- Crestland schools, retiring from the workforce in 2008.

  Sharon was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was involved with the church guild.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.  She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

   Survivors include her children: Steph (Bob) Jensen of Newell, IA, Chris (Denise) Wunschel of Nemaha, IA, John (Lynn) Wunschel of Schaller, IA, Travis (Jocie) Wunschel of Grimes, IA; grandchildren: Zach, Chelsie, Colby, Fletcher, Kyle, Ashton, Dillon, Colton, Kenzee, Kyler, Cody, James, Arianna; brothers: Robert (Marilyn) Lenz of Odebolt, IA, Steve Lenz of Storm Lake, IA, Mike (Heather) Lenz of Newell, IA; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and son TJ Wunschel.
