Mark Lee Wessling, age 35 of Morning Sun, died at 6:24 a.m. Tuesday May 17, 2016, at the Morning Sun Care Center following a lengthy illness.  The son of Jeff and Doris (Lamaak) Wessling, he was born August 23, 1980 at Manning, Iowa. He married Sarah Long in January 2016.  He graduated in 2000 from Wall-Lake View/Auburn High School in Lake View, Iowa and was involved in the construction business along with many handyman type of jobs.  He loved working on race cars, hunting, harassing his nieces and nephews and just hanging out with friends.

Survivors include:  his wife Sarah Long of Morning Sun; his son Blake Wessling of Morning Sun; his mother and step father Doris and Chris Mosman of Winfield; one sister Amanda (Richie) Cooley of Morning Sun; one brother Joshua Mosman of Winfield; grandparents Pete and Kate Lamaak of Wall Lake, Iowa and Louie and Jolene Wessling of Dunlap, Iowa; Lon and Jan Mosman of Carroll, Iowa.  He was preceded in death by his Father, one grandmother and great grandparents.

Friends may call on Thursday May 19, 2016 from 2-7 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, where the family will meet with friends from 5-7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Saturday May 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Farber and Ottoman Funeral Home in Wall Lake, Iowa.  Interment will follow at the Saint Bernard Cemetery in Breda, Iowa.  A general memorial has been established in his name.
