Steve Wirtjes, age 55, of Sac City, IA, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View, IA. 

   Steve was born on July 14, 1960, to Harold and Ruth (Rasmussen) Wirtjes in Sac City.  He attended Sac City High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sac City.

   Steve enjoyed life and traveling as an over the road truck driver and working on cars.  He loved his children and grandson and treasured the time he could spend with them.  He is survived by his son Micheal L. Wirtjes of Sac City and daughter Amanda Allen and husband Robert of San Antonio, TX; grandson Liam Allen; and his brothers: Jim Wirtjes and wife Linda of Sac City and Larry Wirtjes of Evansville, IN; extended family members and many friends.

   Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law Rosana Wirtjes; and nephews Michael Wirtjes and Lee Wirtjes.
