Ardys B. Zolnosky, age 98, of Sac City, IA, passed away December 12, 2015 at Parkview Rehabilitation Center in Sac City. 

   Ardys Beatrice Isvik was born on August 10, 1917 to parents Sjur and Anna Isvik in Jewell, IA. As a child she attended elementary school and graduated high school with the Jewell Iowa High School class of 1935.  She furthered her education by obtaining a two year secretarial license curriculum degree in 1939, at Waldorf College in Forest City, IA.  During her two years at Waldorf, she sang and toured with the Waldorf Choir. 

   Ardys was united in marriage to Ralph J. Zolnosky on January 10, 1943 in Denver, CO.  After Ralph’s discharge from the service in 1946 they moved to Sac City, IA.  This union was blessed with four children: Marcia, Alan, Julie and Gary.  Ardys was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother.  She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sac City, where she sang in the choir, belonged to circle groups, bible studies and served on various committees.  She had many outside interests including golf, bridge groups, P.E.O. and endless volunteer work.  Ardys and Ralph were grateful to have 67 years of marriage and loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.  She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

   Those left to cherish her memory are her four children: Marcia (Paul) Luke of Platte City, MO, Alan (Marie) Zolnosky of Victoria, TX, Julie (Doug) Walrod of Scottsdale, AZ, and Gary (Sherry) Zolnosky of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren: Wendy (Don) Roach of Craig, CO, Aaron (Trisha) Puck of Roosevelt, UT, Kristin Walrod of Phoenix, AZ, and Zachary Zolnosky of Seattle, WA; great-grandchildren: Matthew Roach of Polo, MO, Tyler Roach of Bayfield, CO, Benjamin Roach of Pueblo, CO; great-great-grandchildren: Lane and Clayton Roach of Polo, MO; many extended family members and friends.

   She was preceded in death by her parents Sjur and Anna Isvik; her husband Ralph; sisters: Ruth Daube, Stella Knudson, Esther Crumpton, and Clara Rusk Knox; brothers: Alfred Isvik, Lawrence Isvik and Marvin Isvik; grandson Nicholas Zolnosky; and two faithful springer spaniels. 

   An extended heart felt thank you to Park View Rehabilitation Center for their diligent loving care the past five years.
