“Virtus was always so helpful with we needed his help. Whether it was raising rafters, taking a barn down, or getting a cow out that was buried in the creek after a heavy rain, he was always there for us. I enjoyed visiting with him on problems of the world and he always was concerned about our son, Danny jay. He did so much for the town and we will always be indebted to him. Our thoughts and prayer are with your family. ”

“Sandi and I were good friends of Virtus and Betty when we lived in Wall Lake. We lived in the little house down by the shop for a short period of time. I spent a lot of time helping Virtus with farming in the fall and snow removal in the winter in addition to the jobs I had in Wall Lake. It was a pleasure to have him as a customer of both the bank and the insurance agency. We made a lot of trips to Carroll on Sunday night for pizza. You were a great guy Virtus. Rest in peace.”
