Orville Henry Jettre, age 62, of Lytton, IA, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA.
Orville was born December 6, 1951 in Cedar Township, Loring Hospital, Sac County, Iowa to Mrs. Bernadine (Schwartz) Jettre. He received Holy Baptism on December 23, 1951 by Rev. W.C. Nassen. In the Rite of Confirmation, he confessed Jesus Christ as his only Lord and Savior, on April 3, 1966 by Rev. W.C. Nassen at the Emanuel-St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton, IA. Orville received his elementary and secondary education at the Lytton Community High School graduating in 1970. He furthered his education by obtaining an Associates of Arts degree at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, IA, in 1972. In June of 1974 Orville received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mankato State College, Mankato, MN.
Orville worked at various manufacturing plants with his longest tenure at Noble Manufacturing, Lear Siegler, and Farmers Coop Elevator, Lytton Division, where he was the manager of the livestock Production Center. He was retired early from the work force because of a Pulmonary Lung Disorder. It was at this time he discovered his enjoyment of reading and documenting books, he documented over 500 books. He also loved to garden and watch NASCAR racing. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
