Susan M. Worth

Susan Mearita (Hass) Worth was born February 3, 1948, to Dale and Eileen (Bartels) Hass in Sac City, IA. She graduated from Sac City High School with the class of 1966 and attended the Americana Beauty School in Des Moines. She ultimately owned and operated her own beauty shop in her home.

On August 13, 1967, Susan was united in marriage to Wallace Worth at the First Presbyterian Church in Sac City. They were blessed with two daughters Natalie and Erin. Susan was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, served in all offices, and loved helping with the annual bazaar. Her church family was very dear to her. She enjoyed stamping, making many cards for her family and friends. As a member of the Election Board, Susan helped during elections with voter registration at the court house.

Susan lived life to the fullest. Her bubbly personality, sweet smile, and delightful laugh will be missed by many. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family brought her so much joy, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Susan lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wally; daughters: Natalie and husband Cory Witt of Atlanta, GA, and Erin Neville of Carroll, IA; two grandchildren: Alexa and William Neville; her sisters: Barb and husband Bob Romine of Palatine, IL and Bette and husband Robert Pore of Grand Island, NE; brother Charles and wife Tina Hass of Longmont, CO; many extended family members and a host of friends.
