Margaret N. (Page) Clark passed on to be with the Lord on June 27, 2014 at the Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center in Sequin, TX. Margaret lived and worked in the Lake View and Sac City area most of her life until she retired and moved to Arizona in 1983.
Margaret was born in Jackson Township in Sac County on November 18, 1929 to her parents Kate E. (Gardner) Page and Edward F. Page. They farmed in Sac County until Margaret’s father passed away in 1944. She then moved to Des Moines with her mother and sister where she graduated from North High School in 1947. She furthered her education at AIB College of Business, worked for the Veterans Administration, and then married Dale B. Clark in 1949. After having two daughters, Dale and Margaret built the A&W Drive-In in Lake View, IA in 1957. They operated the A&W and farmed just north of Lake View for many years.
Later, Margaret became the head cook for the Senior Citizens in Sac City until she retired in 1983. Leaving the cold Iowa winters behind, she enjoyed her retirement years in Peoria, AZ (Phoenix area) while caring for her mother for several years. Margaret enjoyed swimming, reading, gardening, doing crafts, playing with her cats, being part of the bell choir at the Willowbrook United Methodist Church, playing dominos and participating in various activities with her many wonderful friends. In 2009 she moved into an independent living community in New Braunfels, Texas to live closer to her daughters.
Margaret is survived by daughters Nadine Clark of Seguin, TX and Beverly Clark of Frisco, TX, her sister Eleanor Johnson of Pleasant Hill, IA and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale and her parents Edward and Kate.
