Services have been changed from Emmanuel Lutheran Church to Lakes United Methodist Church do to sewer problems at Emmanuel. The luncheon will be held at the Legion Hall.William (Bill) Haukap of Lake View, IA, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City.Bill was born to Patrick and Marjorie (Buddin) Haukap on December 28, 1957, in Carroll, IA. He graduated from Glidden High School in 1976. Bill married Londa Toft on February 18, 1984.

Bill enjoyed his time in the outdoors with family and friends fishing, hunting, and trapping. He also had a passion for cards, whether it was a friendly game with family, or competitive poker tournament. Bill was an avid NASCAR fan once owning his own memorabilia shop in Lake View. Bill was most proud of his three sons that all accomplished the rank of Eagle Scout.

Bill had a strong work ethic which he passed along to his children. He worked 30 years for Tyson Foods in Storm Lake and Louisa County.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Londa; three sons: Tom (Katie) Haukap of Carroll, Kreg Haukap of Storm Lake, and Adam Haukap of Lake View; his brothers and sisters: Paul Haukap of Phoenix, Pat Dobson of New Franklin, MO, James Haukap of Colorado, Rose (Joe) Railsback of Carroll; and half brothers and sisters: Michelle Haukap, Todd Haukap, Mandy Haukap, Heather Haukap, Corey Haukap, Brandon Haukap, and Ryan Haukap all of Sioux City, Tony (Deanna) Haukap of South Sioux City, Jamey Haukap of Kentucky, and Kristy (Patrick) Mihill of New York. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles: Russell (Deann) Buddin of Lake View, Roger (Wanda) Buddin of Ollie, IA, Duane Broich of Carroll, Georgene Buddin of Carroll, Patty Dilliner of Audubon, Barbara Buddin of Alabama, and Mary Buddin of Texas; and many extended family members and friends.
