Jean Marie Richardson

Jean Marie Richardson, age 89, of Sac City, IA, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Loring Hospital in Sac City. Jean was born on March 30, 1925, in Hales Norfolk, England to David Thomas and Hanna (Jenkins) Williams. She completed her high school degree at age 15 in England and continued her education in the W.A.A.F. British Royal Air Force, serving from October 21, 1942 through June 9, 1945.

On December 4, 1944, Jean was united in marriage to Martin Jr. Carroll in the UK prior to beginning their life together in the US. They were blessed with five children. They later divorced. Jean became a US Citizen on September 1, 1956. She married George Richardson on July 18, 1959, and they were blessed with three children.

Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked at Loring Hospital for 29 years and loved traveling and taking care of her beautiful flowers.

Survivors include her children: David (Lotte) Carroll of White City, KS; Michael Carroll of Portland, OR; Linda (Lloyd) Cook of Wall Lake, IA; Shirley (Stan) Kraemer of Newell, IA; Wayne (Tari) Carroll of Oceanside, CA; Debbie Stough of Cripple Creek, CO; Julie (Scott) McConnell of Spirit Lake, IA; Tammy (Scott) Kennedy of Charlotte, IA; and Kenny (Teri) Richardson of Hanahan, SC; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her sister Ann Elliott in England; many extended family members and friends.
