Larry M. “Cordo” Corderman, age 59, of Sac City, IA, formerly of Lytton, IA, passed away suddenly at his home in Sac City on Monday, October 20, 2014. On November 11, 1954, Larry was born in Sac City, IA, to Martin Alvin and Zola Corinne (Olson) Corderman. He was baptized and a member of the First Christian Church in Sac City. His love of agriculture started when he was young, growing up on a farm south of Lytton. He graduated from Lytton High School in 1973. Larry was married to Lesa Hines in 1976. They lived south of Sac City on an acreage and were blessed with two children, Abby and Andrew. They later divorced.

On March 5, 1994, Larry was united in marriage to Pamela Jo Anderson in Las Vegas, NV, at the Little White Chapel drive up window. They made their home in Arcadia, later moving to Lytton, and settling in Sac City in 2001. Cordo farmed and was an agronomist working for F.C., Simplot Soilbuilders, Newell Coop Elevator and was currently working at New Coop in Pomeroy, making many life long friends along the way. After Simplot closed, Cordo, attended barbers school and purchased Mooney’s Barber Shop in Sac City. He worked part-time in the shop and as an agronomist.

In his spare time, Cordo loved carpentry work, playing softball in his younger years and golfing. He could see the potential in an old rundown house and create a model home. While in high school Cordo played baseball, and his love of the sport continued throughout the years. He coached Andy’s T-Ball Team and Baseball Team, and played softball on the Sac City Budweiser team that traveled to many surrounding communities. He was an avid Yankee’s and Chicago Bears Fan. Larry’s grandchildren brought him so much joy. He loved having them visit so he could spoil them. He was especially proud to be able to help his son start farming, giving him advice with his agronomy needs. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by many including his little dog “Bentley”.

Survivors include his wife, Pam; daughters: Abby (Tyler) Rix of Fresno, CA and Brooke (Eric) Bruning of Breda, IA; sons: Andrew Corderman of Sac City and Travis (Maranda) McMeekin of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren: Zoe and Kaleb Bruning and Lyla Corderman; sisters: Laura Orth of Lytton, IA, Linda Pickering of Fort Myers, FL, and sister-in-law, Linda Winker of Lake City, IA; brothers-in-law: Mark (Debbie) Testroet of Littleton, CO, Jeff (Barb) Anderson of Rockwell City, IA, and Jim Anderson of Rockwell City, IA; mother-in-law Delores Anderson of Rockwell City and father-in-law Richard Anderson of Lebanon, MO; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of friends.
