Mickey Donovan Lott

Mickey Donovan Lott, age 79, of Lytton, Iowa passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Black Hawk Life Care Center in Lake View, Iowa. Mick, the son of Eugene and Aulda (Wolter) Lott, was born December 28, 1934, in Jolley, Iowa. He graduated from Lytton Community High School in 1953 and then served in the United States Army from 1953-1956.

On December 28, 1957, Mick was united in marriage to Joanne Wright in Schaller, Iowa. They were blessed with three daughters: Lori, Leah, and Lana. Mick was a lifelong member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Lytton and recently became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sac City.

Mick and Jo lived on a family farm near Jolley where he enjoyed his many years of farming and raising cattle. He also enjoyed seeing most of the states with Jo riding his Harley and spending several winters in Florida. Several other passions were collecting and restoring antique pedal cars, and shining up his antique tractors and cars for the Gala Day parades. Grandpa Mick also shared his talent of building farm toys for his grandsons, play kitchens for his grand-daughters, and tractor mailboxes for his sons-in-law.

Mick is survived by his daughters: Lori Greenlee and husband Scott of Sac City, Leah Aden and husband Barry of Pomeroy, Lana Pitstick and husband Rick of Fonda; six grandchildren: Austin Aden of Pomeroy, Kortni (Greenlee) Braaksma and husband Bryce of Chicago, Alex Aden of Pomeroy, Kyle Greenlee and wife Abby of Sac City, Avery Aden of Pomeroy and Amber Aden of Pomeroy; one special great granddaughter, Kenlee Jo Greenlee of Sac City; sister Jovonna Whiton of Des Moines; brothers and sisters-in law: Wally and Sandy Lott of Jolley, Marc and Shelley Lott of Ames; brothers-in-law, Dale Wright of Folsom, CA, Neal Wright of Folsom, CA; sister-in-law Janene Dixon and husband Bob of Saugus, CA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
