Bruce Allen Neumann

Bruce Allen Neumann, age 53, of Massena, IA, formerly of Odebolt, IA, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, at his home in Massena as the result of a tragic fire. Bruce was born on May 5, 1961, to Merlin Henry Albert Neumann and Donna Mae (Schulte) Neumann in Storm Lake, IA. He attended school at Odebolt through the tenth grade. He worked for Shinrome Ranch for 15 years and the Ted Wood Farms for the past 20 years.

On June 9, 1981, Bruce was married to Becky Halbur. To this union three children were born: Tonya Jo, Candance Kay, and Travis John. They were later divorced. He married Sally Fouss and welcomed her children into his family: Robert, Pam, Teddy, Kevin, Tanya and Charity. After they divorced he found love again and was living with Jeanette Schroeder and his two dogs, Sissy and Squirrel. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family, always calling to checkup on everyone.

He had an old soul and was a cowboy at heart, loved horses, cattle, farming, dogs and cats, “Beer”, listening to Johnny Cash, and was a huge “John Wayne” fan. Bruce liked to say he was a jack of all trades and master of none!!

Bruce will be dearly missed by his best friend, Jeanette Schroeder; his mother Donna Neumann of Lake City; brothers and sisters: Richard (Deb) Neumann of Sac City, Merrill (Wanettia) Neumann of Minnesota, Sharon (Gary) Babcock of Odebolt, Kathrine Hammen and friend Jim of Rockwell City, and Susan (Tracy) Lane of Atlantic; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
