Bonnie Barron, age 62 of Lake View, IA, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake, IA.

Bonnie Ann Olerich was born on December 20, 1963, in Manning, IA, to parents Louis and Joan (Veit) Olerich. She spent her early years in Lake View, and then moved to Peterson, Iowa. In 1983, she graduated from Sioux Valley High School in Linn Grove.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Rolf Barron in Spencer, IA. Although the couple later divorced, they were blessed with three children: Zachary, Brittany, and Nickolas.

Bonnie devoted many years to being a loving full-time mother and took great pride in raising her children. She later worked as a manager for Casey's General Store then went to Pure Fishing at the Lakes before retiring in 2012.

Bonnie had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed fishing, canning, gardening, planting and caring for flowers, and camping. She embraced every opportunity to be outdoors and create lasting memories with those she loved. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren. Being surrounded by her family brought her the greatest happiness and was the true center of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Zachary, Brittany, and Nickolas Barron; grandchildren: Landon, Wyatt, Hadley, Bonnie, and Keilund; brother Tony Olerich; sisters Lauri (Lydell) Schoenfeld and Karen (Ken) Davis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Olerich and Joan Veit; brother James Olerich; grandparents Clarence and Veronica Olerich; and several aunts and uncles.
