Deborah Sue Berg passed away from this life to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
Known to friends as “Deb”, she was born on Easter Sunday, March 29, 1959, the youngest of three children, to Wesley and “Bobbie” Berg. Deb grew up with two older brothers, Mike and William (Bill) on a dairy farm south of Odebolt, IA.
She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Odebolt and graduated from Odebolt-Arthur High School with the class of 1978.
After living in Minneapolis, MN, and Sac City, IA, for a brief time, Deb spent the latter half of her life in Atlantic, IA. She was helped greatly by the REM Iowa program in Cass County, a program that is specifically designed to help people with intellectual and developmental challenges. Several group homes over the years provided a nurturing environment for Deb. She made a lot of friends and enjoyed many activities.
Deb spent the last few years of her life living at Atlantic Specialty Care. Physical limitations made this facility the best option. Once again, she was provided with a nurturing home environment and made many friends.
Deb is survived by her bother William (Beverly) of Ames, IA; six nephews: Micah (Julie) Berg of Grand Junction, CO, Nathaniel (Aundrea) Jones of Junction City, OR, Kyle (Michelle Heer) Berg of Raleigh, NC, Brandon (Allison) Berg of Ankeny, IA, Kevin (Bridget) Berg of Georgetown, TX, Ryan (LeeAnn) Berg of Grimes, IA; niece Jenna (Tyler) Wood of Iowa Falls, IA; eleven great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Bobbie Berg; and brother Mike.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family and a decision will be made later as to its use.
