Larry Domino, age 86 of Sac City, IA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Iowa City, IA. Larry Gene Domino was born on June 25, 1938, to parents Kenneth and Daisy (Anderson) Domino in Yetter, IA. He was raised on a farm outside of Sac City and attended Jackson #5 Country School before attending Sac City High School. After graduating, Larry attended Morningside College in Sioux City, IA, earning his Bachelor of Business Degree. He was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.

On February 11, 1961, Larry was drafted into the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on August 10 that same year. Recently, Larry was awarded a Quilt of Valor for his service.

On August 20, 1961, Larry married the love of his life, Nancy Lewis. This union was blessed with two sons, Gregg and Brian. They raised their family on a farm northwest of Sac City. Larry loved the farm and everything it entailed. He farmed for over forty years before retiring in 2001. During those years, he was a livestock buyer for the Hormel plant in Austin, MN, and he managed several different sites for Iowa Select, as well as farming his land. He knew what he was doing for sure and the numbers showed just that as he was always near the top in production statistics.

Larry was very active in the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He served as the Board and was awarded the First Deacon Emeritus from the church. He was a member of the Occidental Lodge also.

In his free time, Larry enjoyed golfing and traveling. He really enjoyed trips to Maine with Nancy where he ate lobster for every meal. He took many trips with the REC Board to places like Atlanta, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and New Orleans, which he especially enjoyed. Many great memories were made on family trips to Hawaii and the Grand Canyon. He also liked to play Bridge and 500 with his friends.

Larry was involved in many organizations including the Iowa Pork Producers as a Master Producer, he was a 4H and FFA leader for many years, and he served on the REC board, just to name a few.

Larry loved his family and spending time with them always brought him joy. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Domino; sons Gregg (Lynda) Domino of Iowa City, IA, and Brian (Shelly) Domino of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren Kyle Domino, Caitlyn Domino, Michael Domino, and Joselin Domino; great-grandson Chase Domino; several nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Daisy Domino; and siblings Clarence Burdette Domino and Shirley Odean Millhollin.

**IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, please consider monetary donations in Larry's memory as the family intends to donate it to the church.
