Jerry Iversen, age 87 of Odebolt, IA, passed away on March 18, 2025, at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, IA. Jerry Dean Iversen was born on November 22, 1937, to parents Harry and Mildred (Mandernach) Iversen in Des Moines, IA. He grew up in Odebolt, was a member of the United Methodist Church, and graduated from Odebolt High School in 1955.
Jerry was blessed with four children, Bret, Janna, Scott, and Kelly. He was a truck driver for most of his adult life and trucked for many trucking companies over the years. After Jerry retired, he took up golf. He was an avid football fan and loved cheering on the Chicago Bears. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the lake with Candy, his significant other. Jerry also looked forward to happy hour every day with the Lake View crew. He was also a volunteer fire fighter for the Odebolt Fire Department.
Above all, Jerry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his significant other, Caroline Ludwig of Lake View, IA; children: Bret Iversen of Odebolt, IA, Janna (Mark) Pick of Lake Ozark, MO, Scott (Kim) Iversen of Manhattan, KS, and Kelly (Diane) Iversen of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren: Lee Iversen of Kansas City, MO, Kara (Tanner) Purdum of Lee’s Summit, MO, Calvin (Alex) Iversen of Lee’s Summit, MO, Kale Pick and fiancée Kelsey Henry of Houston, TX, Paige Iversen of Odebolt, IA, Trent Iversen and significant other Allie of Lake City, IA, Jenna Iversen of Waukee, IA, and Cole Iversen of Ankeny, Iowa; great-grandchildren: Kruz, Kuper, Kinni, Flynn, Bennett, McCoy, and Ava; sister JaNell Warnke of Lake Bluff, IL; other extended family members and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mildred Iversen; and brother-in-law Larry Warnke.
