Beulah Cole, age 99 of Sac City, IA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City. Beulah Lucille Zimmerman was born on January 14, 1925, one of eighteen children, to parents Herbert and Marie (Barlow) Zimmerman. She grew up in Sac City and was baptized at the Baptist Church. She attended Sac Community Schools and graduated from high school in 1943.
On January 14, 1945, Beulah was united in marriage to Wesley Cole in Sac City. Wes and Beulah were married for 74 years and blessed with two sons, Jeff in 1945, and Jerry in 1947. Together they raised their sons on the family farm northeast of Sac City. Beulah worked on the farm and for Empress Stationary in Sac City.
Beulah was an active member of the United Methodist Church and was a member of the ladies circle.
She enjoyed oil painting, gardening, quilting, playing cards, and golf. Beulah always looked forward to attending the large Zimmerman family reunions.
Beulah loved her family, especially her grandsons Jason and Adam, and great-grandsons Brenner, Jack, Grant, and Ryan. Getting to see them and spend time with them always made her smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include son Jerry (Jeannie) Cole of San Diego, CA, daughter-in-law Sharon Cole of Allen, TX; grandsons Jason (Andra) Cole and Adam (Shonna) Cole both of TX; great-grandchildren: Brenner, Jack, Grant, and Ryan all of TX; brothers John (Sandy) Zimmerman, Earl (Karon) Zimmerman, Chuck (Joan) Zimmerman, and Ted (Alice) Zimmerman all of Sac City, IA; many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Wes Cole, in September 2019; son Jeff Cole; parents Herbert and Marie Zimmerman; and thirteen siblings: Don, Pearl, Robert, James, Florence, Cliff, Kenny, Jack, Lois, Mary, Bill, June, and Ruth.
