Nahshon Platt, age 50 of Early, IA, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Nahshon Caine Platt was born on December 29, 1973, to parents Robert Pecoy and Marilyn Platt in Storm Lake, IA. He grew up in the Storm Lake area, moved with his family to Florida during his youth, and eventually settled back in Early.
Nahshon worked several years at Schiltz Manufacturing in Nemaha, IA, as a welder before being employed at Power Solutions in Alta where he was currently working.
In 2017, Nahshon met Danielle Thompson. He welcomed her two children, Carter and Briah, into his life with open arms. To Nahshon, Danielle was his everything. They were soon blessed with three more children, Uriah, Braven, and Marilyn. Nahshon felt that his life was finally complete as he absolutely adored his children. More than anything, he loved being at home with them and Danielle.
Nahshon’s faith in the Lord was deep. It was typical for him to lead a conversation discussing his faith in hopes of leading others to the Lord. He obtained his Bachelor Degree from Shalom Bible College.
Nahshon loved all genres of music and played the guitar in a Christian rock band for a while. He was very artistically talented. He expressed his talents through many mediums including woodworking, metalwork, tattooing, epoxy art, and making arrowheads, just to name a few. He was a very intelligent guy that could do just about anything. He was reciting books at a very young age and was able to tell stories like no other; he had such an imagination which of course helped compliment his artistic creations.
Nahshon loved motorcycles. He and Danielle enjoyed riding his Victory whenever time allowed. It was something they always looked forward to being able to do together. He did his best to show his love any way he could and was always there to support Danielle when she needed.
Nahshon is now with his Lord and Savior, resting in a beautiful paradise, free of all pain and sorrow. His earthly body is gone, but his spirit will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his spouse, Danielle Thompson of Early, IA; children: Taylor Platt, Uriah, Braven, and Marilyn “Mary” Platt, Carter and Briah Bates; two half brothers; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members and friends.
Nahshon was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Pecoy and Marilyn Platt; special aunt Janet Lightfoot; special uncle Randy Platt; uncles John and Jim Platt; as well as maternal and paternal grandparents.
