Marilyn Beach, age 87 of Sac City, IA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City. Marilyn Ann Reising was born on April 3, 1936, to parents Alvin and Teresa (Ziegmann) Reising in Carroll, IA. She grew up in Odebolt where she attended school and was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church. Marilyn graduated from Odebolt High School with the Class of 1954.
On November 6, 1954, Marilyn married Willis “Bill” Beach at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Odebolt. This union was blessed with five children, Gary, David, Ronald, Brian, and Kathleen. They made their home in Sac City where Bill farmed and Marilyn was a homemaker before working as a bank teller at Iowa State Bank. She was also a receptionist for Dr. Brenny for several years.
When the kids were growing up, the whole family enjoyed camping trips together. Marilyn was the happiest when she was with her family as they meant the world to her. She was a great cook and loved arts and crafts time with her grandchildren; she always looked forward to their visits in the summertime. She and Bill loved playing cards and were in Pitch Club together for many years. Marilyn also enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends. Spending time with her sisters also meant a great deal to her; they would often go on weekend trips together and always had so much fun. Marilyn proudly supported her kids and grandkids throughout their days in school by attending their sporting events and all other activities. She was such a warm and loving person who had such a gentle smile. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
