Pamela J. Ruchti, age 73 of Oregon, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Madison, WI. She was born on January 29, 1950, in Lake View, IA, to Orville and Mavis Meyer. As an only child, Pam was loved endlessly by her parents. She graduated from Lake View - Auburn High School in 1968 and then graduated from AIB (American Institute of Business) in 1969.

Pam married Robert Ruchti on September 6, 1969; they were married for just over 54 years. They moved to Des Moines, IA, and then eventually to Wisconsin, first to Madison then settling in Oregon where they lived for the past 46 years. Once in Oregon, her love for music and piano lead her to begin teaching lessons to countless children for over 20 years out of her home. Pam was also active in the local Jaycees and other charity organizations in the area, always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. She was a long-time member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Madison, serving as a Deacon and Elder within the church.

Pam is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her three sons, Trent (Chris), Tyler (Kara) and Brian (Marie); and five grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Samantha, Ash and Briggs. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family would like to thank the ICU unit at Meriter Hospital for the compassionate and loving care they provided to her in the last month.

A visitation will be at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023. 

Memorials may be gifted in Pam’s name to the American Heart Association.
