Kregg C. Frank was born on February 5, 1950, in Lake City, Iowa, to proud parents, Chester C. and Betty W. Frank.  He grew up on the family farm northwest of Lake View, Iowa, where he helped in the fields, with the livestock, and in the garden.  He often found mischief with his brothers, Douglas and Denes, and learned to fix almost anything!  Kregg was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.
   Kregg attended Lake View High School in Lake View and graduated in 1968.  Many of his classmates became life-long friends.  Kregg worked with the vet, vault company, Farber and Otteman and Hallett’s pits.  After graduating, he attended Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota and Northwest Iowa Vocational School in Sheldon, Iowa.
   Kregg married Brenda Sue (Reichardt) Frank on July 1, 1972, and the couple soon welcomed a daughter, Dana Jo and a son, Ryan Kregg.  The family initially resided in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where Kregg worked as a plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractor with C & B Plumbing.  He was a devoted father and taught his children by example to put family first, to work hard and play after, to keep one’s word, and to do the right thing when no one was looking.
   Kregg and his family later returned to Lake View and built their own business, K & B Plumbing.  He took a great deal of pride in his work!  After 35 years in business, Kregg’s gigantic key ring held the keys of countless area homes.  People trusted him and his workmanship!
   Kregg was better known to most as ‘Tiny’, though at 6’5” tall, he was anything but!  Behind his tough, sometimes hard to love exterior, was a great big heart!  If Kregg loved you, he likely gave you a hard time and he absolutely adored anyone who gave him a hard time right back!
   Kregg enjoyed outdoor activities such as hunting, camping, and while he never learned to swim, he sure loved to fish!  Much of his free time was spent in his fishing boat on Blackhawk Lake, Storm Lake, Spirit Lake, Lake Icaria and Lake Anita.  He shared his great love of the lake with his family and friends and was most at peace while on the water.  Kregg was always interested in a good card game and a bowl of homemade ice cream.  His whole heart was on the farm, and he had mad love for his dogs (all of whom he named ‘Fred’), his 1967 Chevy Impala and Dodge Challenger.
   Kregg passed away peacefully on July 14, 2023, at Blackhawk Life Care Center in Lake View, Iowa, at the age of 73.  He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Frank; his mother, Betty Frank; and his brother, Douglas Frank.  He is survived by his sister-in-law, Cheryl; brother, Denes Frank and wife, Sue; daughter, Dana Brannon and husband, Stephen; son, Ryan Frank; grandson Travis Brannon and wife, Nicole and son, Aiden; granddaughter, Jennifer Monestero and husband, Will; and will be missed by numerous extended family members and friends.
