Linda Freese, age 76 of Wall Lake, IA, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022. Linda Lou Jetter was born on March 24, 1946, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Carroll, IA, to parents William and Evelyn (Peters) Jetter. She grew up in Wall Lake where she was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Linda attended Wall Lake High School.
On October 19, 1962, Linda was united in marriage to Ralph Freese, Jr. in Wall Lake at Trinity Presbyterian Church. This union was blessed with four children: Ralph W., Carmen, Brian, and Brent. The couple lived and raised their family in Wall Lake. Linda was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. There was always a pan of bars and a pot of coffee ready to be served to the morning coffee clan.
Linda enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, and watching sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. She loved flowers, whether it was receiving them or planting/caring for them, they always made her smile. Above all else, Linda loved her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Ralph William Freese of Wall Lake, Carmen (Chris) Brotherton of Lake View, Brian Freese of Wall Lake, and Brent Freese of Des Moines; grandchildren: Kyle Freese, Taylor Greer, Amanda (Taylor) Bengford, Aaron (Rebecca) Brotherton, Hannah (Nolan) Warnke, Ralph John Freese, Scott Freese, Brylee Freese, and Dylan Freese; great-grandchildren: Keldon Jo Freese, Sadie, Lanni and Tobin Bengford, Niall Brotherton, Vivian Warnke, Amari McQueen, Ka’Layah and Taevyn Greer; brother Bob (Kay) Jetter of Council Bluffs; sister Bonnie (Ed) Stone of Lake City; sisters-in-law Katie Lamaak, Gracie Wollesen both of Wall Lake, Pearl Kelly of San Diego, CA, Shirley Freese of Manilla, and Doris Jetter of Sioux Falls, SD; brother-in-law Bobby (Wanda) Freese of Lake View; many other extended family members and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents William and Evelyn Jetter; siblings William Jetter and Shirley Moore; brother-in-law Buck Moore; nephews Steven Jetter and Dennis Jetter.
