Ronald Warren, age 79, of Early, IA, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022, surrounded by family.  Ronald James Warren was born on May 31, 1943, to parents William Warren and Ruth (Preston) Warren Shaffer in Nebraska City, NE.  He grew up with his family in Nebraska and attended school.  Ron also served in the National Guard.

     On July 31, 1965, Ronald was united in marriage to Judy Platt, in Early, IA.  They moved to Rockford, IL.  Their union was blessed with four children: Michael, Lisa, Christopher and Tamara.  Ron worked many years in Automotive Assembly at Chrysler in Belvidere.  When he retired he moved back to Early, IA.  In his early days, Ron could be seen riding around on his Harley motorcycle.  He also liked to go fishing and play cards, especially euchre.  Through his hobbies, he was known to be a lively storyteller.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and he will be dearly missed. 

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years Judy of Early, IA; children: Lisa (Rob) Carmona of Rockford, IL, Christopher (Marianne) Warren of Elmore City, OK, and Tamara (Steven) Funkhouser of Portsmouth, VA; sister: Lila (Melvin) Kriefles of Nebraska City, NE; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents: William Warren and Ruth Warren Shaffer; son: Michael Warren; brother: Roger Warren; and grandson Andrew Warren.
