   Jefferey Hillman, age 77 of Lake View, IA, passed away at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, IA, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, with his loved ones by his side. Jefferey Walter Hillman was born on August 14, 1944, to parents Harvey and Leola (Brown) Hillman in Underwood, IA. He attended and graduated from Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, NE.
   On April 17, 1962, Jeff entered the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged on March 28, 1968, with the rank of Fireman Apprentice. Jefferey was a truck driver for most of his adult life, and for a while, was a delivery driver in the plumbing and heating business.
   In 2009, Jefferey met Linda Kraft in Omaha, NE. The two really hit it off and he decided in 2011 to move to Lake View to live with her. He received a warm  welcome into Linda’s family and was adored by all of them. Jefferey was a big fan of and loved following all of the grandkids’ sports and activities.
   In his spare time, Jefferey enjoyed playing bingo and gathering with friends for coffee and good conversation. He adored dogs, especially his own, Gus and Maggie. Jefferey was an active member of the Eilert-Auen American Legion Post #133 in Lake View and enjoyed the time he spent there with fellow Veterans. He was a kind, loving man who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.   
   Survivors include special companion, Linda Kraft of Lake View, IA; close friends Scot and Holly Hindmarsh of Omaha, NE; Linda’s children John Kraft, Rachael Partridge, Renee Horstman and families; other extended family members and friends.
   Jefferey was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Leola (Brown) Hillman.
