Thomas Swanson, age 66, of Lake View, IA, passed away at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.  Thomas Russell Swanson was born on June 20, 1956, to parents Russell and Virginia (Gibbs) Swanson in Chicago, Illinois.  Thomas grew up with his family in the Chicago area.  He graduated from Lane Tech High School in 1974.  When he came to Iowa, he attended Western Iowa Tech Community College.

     In 2002, Thomas was united in marriage to Annino Marie Swanson.  They had a blended family and resided in Lake View, IA.  Thomas worked as an electrician and in construction during his life.  He retired in the late ’90s due to disability.  Thomas played the guitar and was a songwriter.  He enjoyed man cave club and being with his friends.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  Thomas owned and ran a hot dog stand with a big blue and white umbrella, which he took around the lake.  He loved to visit with people in the community.  

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Annino Swanson of Lake View, IA; his children: Jake, Brooke,  Haley, Jordyn, Justine, Jessah, Megan, and Jackie; sister: Paula (Jerry) Siplon of Lake View, IA; nephews: Ron, Ryan and Randy, all of Lake View, IA; and his grandchildren:  Avery, Ayden, Ottelie, London, Asher, Freya, Sofia, Hayden, Hendrix, Hazel, Violet, Christian, Madyson, and Dillinger.

    He was preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Virginia Swanson; and his brother, Terry Swanson.
