Sandra Freese, age 81 of Sioux City, IA, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Unity Point St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.  Sandra M. Freese was born on March 15, 1941, to parents Everett and Betty (Nagel) Hutchinson in Sac City, IA.  She graduated from Sac City High School in 1959. 

     On August 15, 1959, Sandra was united in marriage to Donald Freese at the United Methodist Church in Sac City, IA.  This union was blessed with four children: Debra, Donavon, Steven, and David.  Sandra lived and raised her family in Sac City until 1972, then relocated to Holstein.  In 2018, she moved to Sioux City to be near her family.  Sandra worked as a homemaker and a babysitter.  She took care of many children in Holstein for over 20 years and will be remembered by many as a second grandmother.

     Sandra enjoyed collecting and though she did not drink, she had a collection of shot glasses from the many family trips she enjoyed.  She also had a beautiful collection of glass shoes.  Sandra kept busy with her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed. 

     Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Debra Freese of Sioux City, IA, Donavon Freese of Sioux City, IA, Steven Freese of Sioux City, IA, and David (Cindy) Freese of Underwood, IA; daughter-in-law: Natalie Freese of Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: Allison Freese, Roger (Jessica) Freese, Isabelle Freese, and Maggie Freese; brother: Terry (Debbie) Hutchinson of Prior Lake, MN.

    Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Donald Freese and her parents Everett and Betty Hutchinson.
