LuAnn Kennebeck, age 60 of Wall Lake, IA, passed away at Odebolt Specialty Care in Odebolt, IA on Monday, May 23, 2022.  LuAnn Kae Kennebeck was born on November 1, 1961, to parents James and Nancy (Blair) Fertig in Lake City, IA.  LuAnn grew up in the Lake View area with her family.  She was confirmed as a youth at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View, IA.  She graduated from Lake View/Auburn high school in 1980. 

     LuAnn was blessed with three children:  Alex, Adam, and Heather.  She most recently lived and worked in Wall Lake, where she worked as a convenience store clerk.  LuAnn loved riding motorcycles.  She was an avid fan of Harley Davidson and owned her own bike.  Family was important to LuAnn and she stayed close to her siblings and children throughout her life.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her mother:  Nancy Fertig of Stanton MI; children: Alex (Sarah) Kennebeck of Fort Dodge, IA, Adam Kennebeck of Sac City, IA, and Heather Kennebeck of Wall Lake, IA; Significant other: Don Gansemer of Wall Lake, IA;  grandchildren: Ben, Brooklyn, Adalee, Aaleigha, and Aidynn; sisters: Cindi Fertig from Lake View, IA, and Lori Huffman of Arthur, IA; brother: Norm (Jen) Fertig of Stanton MI; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     LuAnn was preceded in death by her father James “Jim” Fertig, brother Jimmy Dale Fertig, nephews Jeremy Fertig, Derek Bodman, and Eddy Bodman, Nieces Macayla Razes, and Trish Mann.
