James Anton (Tony) Juhl was born in Audubon, Iowa on Nov. 15, 1959, to Dee and Jeannette (Robison) Juhl.  He was later joined by brothers Eric and Mark.  The family lived primarily in Brayton and Council Bluffs.  When the parents separated, Tony and his brothers moved to Lake View with their mother, and then to Sac City when Jeannette married LeRoy Olson in 1970.  With step-brother and stepsister Dianna and Brad Olson, they became a family of seven.
He was baptized and attended the First Christian Church (DoC) with his family.  Tony attended the Sac Community School until his junior year when what became a life-long illness ended his attendance.  He later earned his GED.  Tony was hospitalized off and on until 1989 when a new medication changed his life and allowed him to leave the hospital.  While living in a residential care unit in Emmetsburg, he and a member of the staff developed a relationship and he moved out of the care unit.
Tony changed his legal surname to Robison and asked that he be called Jim rather than Tony.  After changing his name, Jim married Ardella Oetting at the First Christian Church (DoC) in Sac City in 1995.  The couple moved to Missouri and separated in 1998.  Jim moved back to Iowa and has lived in Storm Lake and worked at Genesis (now Imagine the Possibilities) since that time.
The people Jim worked with found him polite and cooperative - an all-around nice person.  Many of these people cared so much for him that they went the extra mile to help him.  They were truly a blessing.  His mother was the one constant in his life and he knew she would always be there for him.
A favorite memory was when his Grandma Robison made matching outfits for Jim, his brothers, and cousins Terry and Penny.  The cousins all wore these outfits to Silver Dollar City where people asked if they were a music group.  They all agreed and said they were the “Kid Cousins”.  Jim also enjoyed all the costumes of TV superheroes his grandma created for him.  Later, Jim enjoyed superhero movies like Spiderman and the Flash.  He wrote a great deal and liked to draw pictures.  For the most part, he was a loner and avoided groups.
After a second hospitalization, Jim moved to the Fonda Nursing Home under St.Croix Hospice care.  He passed peacefully in the night on April 29, 2022.
Preceding him in death were his father and stepmother Dee and Norma Juhl; Grandfather Charles Robison; Grandparents William and Dorothy Juhl; Step-sister Dianna Olson; Step-father LeRoy Olson and Step-father Charles Strain.
Those left to mourn his passing are his mother Jeannette Strain, brothers Eric (Karol) Juhl, Mark Juhl; sister Serena Goines; Grandmother Ila Robison; nephew Luke Olson and many relatives and friends.
