     Donald Meyers, age 56 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Sioux City, IA.  Donald Eugene Meyers was born on May 7, 1965, in Sac City Iowa, to parents Glenn and June (Miller) Meyers. Don was baptized at the Emanuel St. John Lutheran Church in Lytton, IA, and was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sac City, IA. He grew up with his family in Lytton, IA, where he attended and graduated from Lytton Community Schools. 

    On May 24, 1986, Don was united in marriage to Shellie Blair at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sac City, IA.  This union was blessed with three children, Corey, Brandon, and Ashley.   Don enlisted in the United States Army Reserves in 1989.  He worked at V.T. Industries in Sac City, IA.  He was retired from the manufacturing business. 

  Don enjoyed fishing and camping.  He was a Chicago Bears fan.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years Shellie of Sac City, IA; children: Corey (Laura) Meyers of Carroll, IA, Brandon (Nicole) Meyers of Des Moines, IA, and Ashley (Josh Ernzen) Meyers of Humboldt, IA; grandchildren: Hunter, Lucie, James, Jackson, Ellie, Isaac, and Emma; sisters: Norma (Jerry) Vanest of Mishawaka, IN, Mary (Brad) Dutton of Oshkosh, WI; and brother Darwin Meyers of Sac City, IA. 

    Don was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and June Meyers.
