Nellie Borecky, age 95 of Sac City, Iowa, passed away on January 29, 2022. Nellie Marie Borecky was born on October 1, 1926, to parents Jacob and Annie (Hinaus) Borecky in Sac City, IA. She grew up in the Sac City area and attended country school through the eighth grade. Nellie was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith.

   Nellie lived most of her life on the family farm with her parents. She worked on the same farm for most of her adult life. Many great memories were made there with her four siblings.

   Nellie enjoyed working on puzzles in her free time. She could also be found crafting and quilting, which she was quite good at. Fishing was another of her favorite pastimes. Nellie will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

   Nellie leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Annie Borecky; and siblings, Joseph Borecky, Frank Borecky, Cora McKeen, and Catherine Armstrong.
