Peggy Lynch, age 58 of Sac City, IA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Park View Rehabilitation Center in Sac City.

Peggy Jolene Lynch was born the youngest of seven children on April 5, 1963, to parents Derrell M. and Janice (Weisenborn) Lynch at Loring Hospital in Sac City. She was a true gift from God to her family and all who knew her. Peggy was baptized in April of 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sac City where she was a life-long member. She grew up in Sac City, attended school in Wall Lake, and graduated from Sac City Community High School. She worked for Howard Activity Center’s work program for many years and was a member of their board as well.

Peggy was polite, loving, caring, and had a great sense of humor. She loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing search-a-word puzzles, watching Saturday Night Live and soap operas, and taking regular walks to the library to check out books. Peggy loved trips to Branson with her sisters and her weekly suppers at Cattlemen’s with her brother Mark.

It is a fact that Peggy Jo was a true blessing to anyone that knew her. If her mother, Janice, were here with us today, she’d be sure to tell us the same thing. They were always together and took such great care of one another. God certainly knew what He was doing when He blessed the Lynch family with that special seventh child.

Peg’s contagious smile, little giggle, and infamous double peace signs will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest peacefully in God’s comforting arms where she now resides along with her mom and dad, brother, sister, and nephew. What a great reunion that must be!

Peggy is survived by her siblings: Patty Wirtjers of Sac City, IA, Mark Lynch of Sac City, IA, Linda (Lee) Bobier of Sioux City, IA, and Michel (Doug) Horn of Valley Springs, SD; sister-in-law Linda Lynch of Sac City, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Derrell and Janice Lynch; brother Derrell Ray Lynch; sister Terri Haberer and nephew Jamie Wiebers; and brother-in-law John Wirtjers.
