   John Crabb, age 60 of Sac City, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Loring Hospital in Sac City.
 
   John Howard Crabb was born on March 27, 1961, to parents George Wayne and June (Johnson) Crabb in Sac City. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, attended Sac City Community Schools and graduated from Sac City Community High School with the class of 1980. 
 
   Out of high school, John worked at the grocery store and then for Wallace Soft Water. Next he would venture into the world of plumbing, where he would remain for the next thirty years. He worked for Jim Youll at Youll Plumbing, along with Lyle Taber who later took over the business. After Youll Plumbing closed its doors, John worked at MGM Plumbing and then at Bomgaars in Sac City. 
 
   On July 4, 1987, John was united in marriage to Susan Woehl at the United Methodist Church in Sac City. This union was blessed with two sons, Bret and Tyler. 
 
   If John wasn’t at work or at home, it was a pretty safe bet he could be found fishing. It was for sure, aside from spending time with his loved ones, the thing he liked doing most. He thoroughly enjoyed the annual fishing trip to Canada with his brothers. 
 
   John wasn’t much of a vacationer unless fishing was involved so over the years he and Susan took trips with their boys to    South Dakota. They also enjoyed weeks spent every summer on Blackhawk Lake. Most recently, Susan was able to talk him into flying down to Arizona with her to visit his brother Mark and wife Kris. And yes, he was able to do a little fishin’ while down there because of course he shipped his favorite fishing pole down ahead of time. He ended up having the time of his life while there, and great memories were made for sure.
 
   John adored his family. His boys were his pride and joy. And then came the first grandchild, a precious baby boy named Walker Allen who pretty much stole John’s heart. He for sure loved the title of grandpa!
 
   Outside of spending time with family (and going fishing) John kept busy working on things. He was a handyman of sorts who would always find a way to fix things. He also liked woodworking and made several pieces of furniture. He loved being outdoors and in the Fall he enjoyed pheasant hunting. 
 
   John leaves with all who knew and loved him, memories of fun, laughter (always had a smile on his face) and genuine love that will remain in their hearts forever. He will be dearly missed.
 
   John leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife Susan Crabb of Sac City, IA; sons Bret (Megan) Crabb and grandson Walker of Sac City, IA, and Tyler Crabb of Cedar Falls, IA; mother June Crabb of Lake View, IA; siblings: Matt (Sheri) Crabb of Sac City, IA, Mark (Kris) Crabb of Mesa, AZ, Luke (Sherry) Crabb of Lytton, IA, Joe Crabb of Sac City, IA, Kathy (Kevin) Duncan of Marshalltown, IA, and Linda (Jim) Rokes of Rockwell City, IA; mother-in-law Jan Woehl of Sac City, IA; sisters-in-law Mary (Steve) Kennedy of Newton, IA, and Patti (Randy) Wienhold of Newell, IA; brother-in-law Mike (Dona) Woehl of Ankeny, IA; many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. 
 
   He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Crabb; grandparents Howard Crabb and Elma Crabb; and uncles Leon “Bud” Crabb and Lyle Crabb.
