Bud Crabb

Bud Crabb, age 75, of Sac City, IA, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Loring Hospital in Sac City. Leon Edward Crabb was born on May 16, 1938 in Sac City, IA to parents Howard and Elma (Conzemius) Crabb. He grew up in near Sac City and attended country school, and then Sac City High School.

Bud married his lifelong sweetheart Joan Harms on July 30, 1962 in Elk Point, South Dakota. This union was blessed with three children: Sally, Tom and Danny. After their children were grown, Bud and Joan raised their two granddaughters, Melissa and Michelle.

Bud worked hard to provide for his family as a part owner/operator and mechanic at Crabb Implement until his retirement in 1995. In his spare time he loved rebuilding classic cars and playing with his great-grandchildren. He cherished every moment spent with his family and will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Sally (special friend Don) Crabb, Tom (Steph) Crabb, and Danny Crabb; grandchildren: Melissa (Gregg) Thomsen, Michelle (Mike) Auen, Brandon Crabb and Tanner Crabb; great-grandchildren: Dylan and Kortni Thomsen and Cooper, Carson and Malia Auen; brothers: Don (Judy) Crabb and Terry (Vicki) Girard; sisters: Alice (Jim) Willettes, Doris (Don) Dierenfeld, Mary Lilly, and Rose (Roger) Norris; sisters-in-law: Sharon Crabb, and June Crabb; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
