   Audrey Meyers, age 96 of Early, IA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Center in Holstein, IA. Audrey Arlene Meyers was born on January 4, 1924, to parents Fred and Gladys (Carlson) Voss in Lake Creek Township, Calhoun County, IA.  She was baptized as a youth and was a member of the Early Presbyterian Church and later the Nemaha United Methodist Church.  Audrey attended country school in Wall Lake Township and later achieved her G.E.D.

   On February 12, 1947, Audrey was united in marriage to John “Ralph” Meyers in Early, IA.  Audrey and Ralph farmed together for several years.  Later in life, she served as a cook at the Nemaha and Early Schools.   Audrey enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially loved her flowers which she exhibited at the Sac County Fair. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

   Those left to cherish her memory include her nephew; numerous cousins and many friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Meyers; parents Fred and Gladys Voss; and sister Donna Voss.

“We are so sorry to hear of Audrey’s passing. She was such a gentle soul with always a pleasant smile on her face. We all so enjoyed her and her ever positive spirit that was always a breath of fresh air whenever you saw her. She will be deeply missed by all her knew her.
On behalf of all the Kenzy’s, we send our deepest condolences to the family. May your memories of her help you during this difficult time, but please remember all the lives she touch with her loving and caring ways.
She was a lovely lady!
