Mars Domino, age 95 of Sac City, IA, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Holstein, IA. Milton Mars Domino was born on August 26, 1924, to parents Homer and Elizabeth (Riddler) Domino in Storm Lake, IA. He grew up with his parents and siblings in Early, IA, where he attended school. Mars was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Early.

   On December 21, 1945, Mars was inducted into the United States Army. He served during World War II and was honorably discharged on February 27, 1947.

   On June 1, 1951, Mars married Frances Werbach in Lone Tree, IA. This union was blessed with four children: Linda, Alan, Gary, and Randy. They raised their family on a farm in Early. Sadly, Frances passed away in a tragic car accident on October 11, 1969. In June of 1977, Mars married Donna Schnieder at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sac City, IA. They made their home in Sac City.

   Mars was a farmer through and through. He and his brother farmed many acres together over their lifetime. Mars also owned and operated Domino, Inc. and Domino Motors in Sac City. This would become a family business that still serves far beyond the county even today.

   Mars loved farming but was also a fan of golf and could be found on the course during his off-time. He also acquired his pilot license and owned two aircrafts that he enjoyed flying. Mars was a hard-working man, devoted husband and father, who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

   Survivors include his children: Linda Domino of Early, IA, Alan Domino (Kathy Gomarko) of Sac City, IA, Gary Domino of Early; IA, and Randy Domino of Nemaha, IA; brother-in-law Don (Nancy) Werbach of Lone Tree, IA; many extended family members and friends.

   Mars was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Elizabeth Domino; brother Keith (Shirley) Domino; sisters Marjorie (Leon) Adams, and Blyth Domino.
