Rosemarie Carney McCarty, age 61 of Early, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 2, 2020, surrounded by friends and family after battling a terminal illness.
Rose was born in Germany on January 15, 1959, to parents Robert and Angelina Carney. She was united in marriage to Joseph McCarty and this year, they would have celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary. They made their home in Early, IA, where Rose had various jobs, her favorites being a cook and a caregiver.
Nothing was more important to Rose than her loved ones. She had no biological children of her own but had countless people who referred to her as “Mama Rose”. She loved each of them as if they were her own. Rose based her entire life on making sure everyone was taken care of and giving to those in need. She felt very strongly about the people she loved and cared for. It was her passion to make sure her legacy lived on through the love she gave and showed to others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Joe McCarty of Early, IA; sister Trish Carney of New York; brothers Tony Carney of New York, and Christopher Carney of Georgia; many extended family members and friends that she referred to as family.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Angelina Carney.
