Vesta Freese, age 89 of Longmont, CO, formerly of Lake View, IA, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019, in Longmont, CO. Vesta Ann Keiser was born on August 19, 1930, in Clinton Township, Sac City, IA, to parents Austin and Iva (Luft) Keiser. She grew up on the family farm in Clinton Township where she attended country school at Clinton #4 and then graduated from Lake View High School with the class of 1947. After graduation, Vesta attended one semester at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, IA.
On September 12, 1948, Vesta was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Freese at the Early Presbyterian Church. This union was blessed with three sons: Ricky, Gary and Timothy. Together they raised their children in Lemars, IA, and later Sioux City, IA, where Vesta worked as a restaurant hostess, secretary, housewife and most importantly, a mother. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting angels and playing bingo with friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth L. Freese of Longmont, CO; children: Ricky D. (Leasa) Freese of Midway, GA, Gary A. (Peggy) Freese of Johnston, IA, and Timothy J. (Agnes) Freese of Niwot, CO; grandchildren: Rachel (Reza) Zubair of Montclair, VA, MSG Ryan (Holly) Freese of Camp Humphreys, South Korea, Andrew Freese of Audubon, PA, SFC Aaron (Kathleen) Freese of Seoul, South Korea, Amanda (Andrew) Pietsch of Davenport, IA, Patrick Freese of Clarinda, IA, and Eric (Carrie) Freese of Boulder, CO; great-grandchildren: Austin, Anna-Leasa and Aidan Zubair, Mackenzie Hoffman, Hailey, Drew and Logan Freese, Laini, Graci and Ella Freese, Jordan Daughtery, Bethany, Mason and Lincoln Freese, Henry Pietsch, and Calvin Freese; and sister-in-law Marilyn Keiser of Wall Lake, IA.
Vesta was preceded in death by her parents, Austin L. and Iva C. Keiser and brother, Austin J. Keiser.
