MaDonna Arlene Heun

MaDonna Arlene Heun, age 74, of Midland, TX, formerly of Sac City, IA, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Texas. MaDonna was born on February 10, 1940, to Donald E. and Arlene V. (Janssen) Heun in Lake View, IA. She was baptized in 1940 in Odebolt and confirmed her faith in 1955 in the Catholic church in Wall Lake. She attended elementary school in Odebolt and graduated from Lake View High School in 1958.

MaDonna was united in marriage to Bob Rinehart in Early, IA on June 8, 1962. They were divorced in 1963. She met and married Lutheran Waterman and was married June 17, 1965 in Jackson, MN. They were divorced in 1988. She found love again and was married to Gary Edge on March 26, 1994 in Odessa, TX. He passed away in 2010.

MaDonna held various jobs throughout her life: working in restaurants; as a nurses aide; in a cannery; turkey factory and as an office worker. She retired in 1986. She had many hobbies including: crocheting, knitting, embroidery, ceramics, reading about true crime and autobiography, painting, working crossword puzzles, fishing, camping, singing and loved to play bingo. Some of her favorite memories included going on trips with family; becoming a God-Parent to Jonathan; meeting Gary; and caring for her pet dogs. She was a huge Elvis fan, becoming a member of his Fan Club and meeting an Elvis impersonator was very exciting for her. She saw all the Elvis movies, her favorite Blue Hawaii, and of course loved all his music. She was also a fan of country western music.

Her love for her family members will be remembered by all. Survivors include her two sisters: Glenda M. (David) Pokorny of Howells, NE and Joan E. (Steve) Hendrix of Odessa, TX; four brothers: Edward E. (Betty) Heun of Fremont, NE, Marlin R. Heun of Weatherford, TX, Arlen D. Heun of Marion, TX, and Kevin P. (Christy) Heun of Weatherford, TX; sister-in-law Marie Heun of Halstead, KS; and many extended family members.
