“Dear Wickersheim family,
I am sorry for the death of Jack. I was friend of his in high school. We graduated together in 1949 from Sac City High School.. I was one of his buddies and like Jack went off to the infantry in Korea. I always liked his smile. He had a neat Ford pick-up truck that he drove in to town from the farm on school days. Jack was a part of my life that made me happy. I am privileged to have had Jack as my friend. I am glad I got to know him.”
