Kevin Pollman, age 54 of Sac City, IA, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2019 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, IA. Kevin Michael Pollman was born on February 6 1965, to parents Walter and Dorothy (O’Tool) Pollman. He grew up in Breda, IA, where he attended grade school at Christ the King and then graduated from Carroll High School. After graduation, Kevin continued his education at Iowa Central Community College where he earned his Associates Degree in 1985.
Kevin married the love of his life, Kris Kay Bauer, on May 29, 1987, at the Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Breda, IA. They moved to Monroe, IA, where they welcomed their first child, Kerry, in March of 1988. Shortly after, they moved to Lytton, IA, where they made their home for the next 15 years and welcomed their daughter, Tiffany, in February of 1991. Kris and Kevin also welcomed two amazing grand boys to their family, Ash and Kaden.
Kevin spent his time volunteering with the Lytton Fire Department and enjoyed working at Fibre Body Industries Inc. in Manson, IA where he fabricated fiberglass truck boxes. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, enjoyed golfing, had a passion for cars and enjoyed working on them in his free time. He loved drag racing and spent many weekends at Humboldt Dragway as a member of the “Bits-n-Pieces” race truck alongside his wife and the Lande Racing Team. Kevin liked collecting Christmas village pieces for his growing collection and was a Carolina Panthers fan. Most of all, Kevin enjoyed raising his grand boys while watching Tuesday night wrestling with Ash and having bed time popsicles with Kaden. These are memories that will last forever. He loved his family unconditionally and was always there to help when needed. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Kerry (Liz Klocke) Pollman of Charter Oak, IA, and Tiffany (Matthew) Koster of Breda, IA; grandchildren: Ash and Kaden Ricklefs; sisters: Shirley (Richard) Dentlinger of Carroll, IA, Nancy (Roy) Harris of Floyd, VA; brother Gary (Jo) Pollman of Northboro, IA; mother-in-law JoAnn Bauer of Manning, IA; brothers –in-law: Keven Bauer of KS, and Kraig Bauer of OK; sisters-in-law: Kathy (Mike) Berg of Arcadia, IA, Kimberly Adams of Buck Grove, IA, Karie (Kelly) Eisma of Hawarden, IA, Karla (Adam) Dorale of Charter Oak, IA, and Kyndi (Geoff) Jensen of Urbandale, IA; several nieces, nephews, many extended family members and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his wife Kris Pollman; parents Walter & Dorothy Pollman; father-in-law Marlin Bauer; sisters: Linda Hinrichs and Debra Pollman; brothers-in-law: Tom Adams and Karl Hinrichs.
