Michael F. Meister, age 69, of Wall Lake, Iowa, died on March 24, 2019 at the Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa.
Michael Francis Meister, the son of Francis and Irene (Ramold) Meister was born in Carroll, Iowa, on November 11, 1949. He lived his youth and received his education in Wall Lake where he graduated in 1968 from the Wall Lake High School. He continued his education at a trade school in Omaha, Nebraska. Mike honorably served his country in the United States Army Reserve.
On April 8, 1972, Mike was united in marriage to Marla Kay Wiederien in Dedham, Iowa, and this couple was blessed with seven children: Jeff, Jason, John, James, Tina, Michelle, and Stacie. Mike and Marla’s married lifetime has been spent in Wall Lake where they were engaged in farming.
Mike was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wall Lake. He had a lifelong interest in Minneapolis Moline Tractors along with Indian and Harley Motorcycles. Mike enjoyed traveling to various tractor and motorcycle shows and going to the casinos. His family was very important to him and he cherished the time that he could spend with Marla, his children and grandchildren.
Mike’s life will always be honored and cherished by his family which include his wife: Marla, of Wall Lake, Iowa, his children: Jeff Meister of San Jose, California, Jason Meister and his fiancé, Sarah Wease, of Springfield, Illinois, John Meister of Wall Lake, Iowa, James (Abby) Meister of Wall Lake, Iowa, Tina Meister of Jefferson, Iowa, Michelle Meister of Carroll, Iowa, and Stacie Meister of Wall Lake, Iowa, his grandchildren: Alexis Reinhart and Pane Renwanz of Jefferson, Iowa, Madison and Max Meister of Wall Lake, Iowa, Autumn Crews of Vail, Iowa, his brother: Tom Meister of Wall Lake, Iowa, other extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
